- latex surgical gloves
- rubber band (optional)
- small adhesive pads, such as corn pads, at least 5
- tempera paint in a cup or dish
- paintbrush
- paper
- soapy bucket of warm water, towels
- clothesline with clothespins

- Slip the glove on over all five fingers and hand. If desired, secure the glove to the wrist with a rubber band, but not too tight.
- Stick a corn pad on the printing side of each finger on the glove.
- With a paintbrush paint the pads of the glove with the free hand. It's fine to paint the glove.
- Press the painted glove and pads on the paper firmly and lift. Count the number of fingers and corn pads. There should be five of each! One, Two, Three, Four, Five.
- Continue to make prints, over and over. Count all the fingers and pad prints.
- When complete, wash glove and hands in the soapy bucket of water. Dry with old towels. Hang up the gloves to dry on a clothesline. Use again.
- Prints may also dry on the clothesline.
- On the thumb, stick one pad. On the pointer, stick two pads. On each finger in line, press three, four or five pads. If pads are too big, cut them in pieces. Make prints.
- Press one bunion pad on the thumb. Cut another bunion pad in half and press the two pieces on the pointer. Cut another pad in three pieces for the third finger, four pieces for the fourth, and five pieces for the fifth. Make prints.
