Fantasy Tornado Bottles

Materials
- Several clear plastic water bottles (one for each tornado) with tight-fitting lids
- liquids to fill the bottles, such as: colored water metallic Liquid Watercolors oil shampoo vinegar water
- materials to add to the bottles, such as: bits of foil buttons chopped Easter grass colored paper clips glitter, sequins marbles metallic confetti pieces of corks sand shaved crayons shredded cellophane

Create fantasy tornadoes from all kinds of amazing materials. How beautiful and mysterious they look as they swirl in their containers! |

Steps
- Partially fill bottles with any of these liquids:
- clear shampoo
- half water, half oil
- Liquid Watercolor, metallic variety
- shampoo and oil
- water
- water, oil, vinegar
- Then add floating, swirling materials from the materials list. Try just one or a combination. Some favorite combinations to experiment with are:
- gold Liquid Watercolor paint (about 1 oz.) with water
- half-colored water, half oil
- long crayon shavings in water
- oil with marbles
- shampoo with oil
- water with glitter and sequins
- water with paper clips
- Screw on the cap nice and tight. Swirl to create fantastic tornadoes!
